Fri., Jan 28, 2011

SOUTHINGTON, CT – The Connecticut Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has once again recognized Notch Mechanical Constructors for its national Safety Training and Evaluation Program (STEP) award. Notch has been a member of the Connecticut ABC for over 15 years and has proudly and consistently received the STEP award since 1993. CT ABC selected Notch from all the specialty contractor winners and bestowed the “Best of the Best” award for its exemplary safety record. President, Sharon Orr, accepted this award for Notch. The awards were presented at Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Annual Dinner & Excellence in Construction Awards at the Aquaturf in Southington, CT on January 27, 2011.

As of January 28, 2011, Notch has achieved 539 days safe. This is due to the commitment of the entire Notch team to “Put Safety First”.

The Associated Builders and Contractors S.T.E.P. program was established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee. It was developed by contractors to provide an objective, accurate and specific methodology their fellow ABC members can use to measure jobsite safety programs.
